I'm fourteen, and I just had brain surgery.
I'll be out for our whole softball season, and I've been very depressed. I went to the first game, even though I couldn't play. I arrived to see every girl on the field had my number sewn on the front of their jersey.
I cried from happiness. My team GMH. (GMH=gives me hope.)

Two years ago, I was told that without a kidney transplant, I was going to die.
Just as I felt like giving up, my best friend died in a car crash. It turned out a week before she had registered as an organ donor. Thanks to her, I am alive two years later.

A few weeks ago, I told my father I was gay.
He was extremely angry and yelled at me. As I lay in bed crying, I texted my little brother to tell him how sorry I was. A minute later, my phone received his reply: "Never apologize to me for who you are. I love you, big sis."
His unconditional love GMH.

I've been suffering with depression almost my whole life.
One night I was about to commit suicide when an instant message popped up on my computer screen. My friend had sent me the link to GMH randomly.
He doesn't know it, but he saved my life. He gave me hope.
